Clear and straightforward. Here's everything you need to know about delivery, pickup, refunds, and privacy.
Delivery Policy
We deliver pastry gifts throughout Kingston, Ontario and surrounding areas. Deliveries are available Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Delivery timing: After you confirm your gift (3 days before the occasion), we bake everything fresh on the day of delivery. We aim to deliver in the morning for maximum freshness, but exact timing depends on route and volume.
Delivery instructions: Please provide clear delivery notes when setting up your recipient (buzz codes, gate codes, "leave at door," specific entrance, etc.). Our drivers will follow these instructions carefully.
If we can't deliver: If no one is home and no delivery instructions were provided, we'll attempt to reach you by email to arrange a redelivery or convert to bakery pickup. A redelivery fee may apply.
Delivery area: We serve Kingston proper and nearby communities. If you're not sure whether an address is within our delivery zone, please contact us before scheduling.
Pickup Policy
All gift sets can be picked up at our bakery at 327 King Street East, Kingston, Ontario.
Pickup hours: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM; Sunday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We recommend picking up before noon for the freshest experience.
How it works: When you choose pickup during gift scheduling, we'll have your gift ready on the occasion date. You (or anyone you designate) can pick it up during business hours. We'll email you when it's ready.
Unclaimed pickups: If a gift is not picked up by closing time on the designated day, we'll hold it for one additional business day. After that, the order is considered fulfilled and no refund will be issued.
Refunds & Cancellations
Before confirmation: You can skip or cancel any scheduled gift at any time before you confirm and pay. No charge is applied.
After confirmation, before baking: If you cancel your confirmed order before we start baking (typically the morning before the delivery date), we'll issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.
After baking has started: Once production has begun, we cannot offer a full refund. We may offer a 50% store credit at our discretion, depending on timing and circumstances.
Quality issues: If there's a problem with your gift (damage during delivery, quality concern), please contact us within 24 hours at hello@littlepastryshop.ca with a description and photos. We'll make it right with a replacement or full refund.
Skipping occasions: You can skip any upcoming occasion for free from your reminder email or dashboard. Skipping is not a cancellation and does not affect future scheduled gifts.
Privacy Policy
Little Pastry Shop ("we", "us") operates the LittlePastryGifts service. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
What we collect: Your name, email address, password (encrypted), and any recipient information you provide (names, addresses, occasion dates, delivery notes). We also collect payment information processed securely through Stripe.
How we use it: Your information is used solely to provide the gift scheduling service: sending reminders, processing orders, coordinating delivery, and communicating with you about your account. We do not use your data for marketing purposes beyond service-related emails.
Data storage: Personal information and recipient addresses are stored using encryption. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
Sharing: We never sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except as required to provide the service (payment processing via Stripe, email delivery) or as required by law.
Data deletion: You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@littlepastryshop.ca. We will process your request within 30 days.
Cookies: We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Terms of Service
By using LittlePastryGifts, you agree to these terms. The service is provided by Little Pastry Shop, located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Accounts: You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Gift scheduling: Scheduling a gift creates a plan, not a binding order. Orders are only created when you confirm and pay in response to a reminder. We reserve the right to limit or refuse service at our discretion.
Pricing: Gift set prices are subject to change. The price shown at the time you confirm and pay is the price you'll be charged. Ontario HST applies to all orders.
Dietary information: While we accommodate dietary notes where possible, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Our bakery handles common allergens including wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy. Please communicate serious allergies directly with our team.
Liability: Our liability is limited to the value of the confirmed order. We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (weather, road conditions, etc.).
Changes to terms: We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
